We celebrated our first Open Mic Night at Higher Ground Café this past Friday, May 29th. South Florida’s very own musical talent, Ella Herrera, lead the show as performing host and amazed us all with her unique and powerful singing style. All participants carried their own remarkable musical ability all-the-way and provided non-stop entertainment.
A special food and drink menu was created particularly for the music event, which included frozen cocktails, domestic and imported beer, white and red wines. Appetizers were added to the already delicious Higher Ground menu, such as fresh shrimp cocktails, Italian meatballs and chips and salsa.
South Florida local talent, Ella Herrera hosted Higher Ground Cafe’s first Open Mic Night on May 29th.
According to the café owners, Ada and Ron Bosco, they plan to have many more Open Mic Nights, in addition to other special events at their new Boynton Beach cafe. The next Open Mic Night will be held on Friday, June 26th featuring another amazing local South Florida musical talent, Christy Sperling, as host. The Boscos also mentioned plans for Comedy Nights, Poetry Readings, Book Clubs and many other types of events.
Ron and Ada additionally noted that the café is also a venue available to be reserved for parties, showers, receptions and meetings. And what a perfect atmosphere it is at Higher Ground Café for birthday and anniversary parties, baby or bridal showers, and just about any other type of small special event. Perfect lighting accentuates the café with stylish spiral wooden chandeliers which provides a warm, cozy feeling and complements the cherry wood wall panels and cabinets behind the bar. A string of blue lights highlight the barista bar and literally illuminate the entire café creating a mystical ambiance.

The café is located at 3200 S Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, Florida 33426 (between Lake Ida Road and Woolbright Road on the east side in the Bosco Corporate Center). Regular Hours of Operation are currently Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm. Saturday breakfast and lunch hours are coming in June.
